We have seen a number of reports in news regarding maternity leave laws, breastfeeding laws, and general child welfare laws of late.
It’s important for us to stay on top of various things that are going on in the midst of the workplace and society as we look forward to raising our children.
Today we bring you an important new article on just one of these issues…a mother who was penalized for pumping while on her break. Why? Because a manager was uncomfortable.
Now let’s be clear, there are numerous laws which protect such a thing, and yet we still see people being punished and enduring criticism.
Is this right? Well, if the law protects then clearly it is wrong. Then how can it still happen? Perhaps due to the discomfort of individuals. But this should not be a deterrent for us as we seek to properly care for and protect our children.
